Dear Members, We are planning a full programme of events for 2010.

Flyers will be circulated as soon as all arrangements are completed.

The AGM of BILA took place at Withers’ offices, 16 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7EG on Monday, 8 February 2010. 26 members attended and unanimously voted the new President, Rocco Franco and the new Hon. Treasurer, Andrew Godfrey. Congratulations to both of them! Votes of thanks were given to the outgoing President, Peter Wood and to Ronaldo Sallows, Hon. Treasurer, for their dedication during their term of office.

Joint Conference with the CNF in Rome – Friday 11 June.
a Joint Conference with the CNF (Consiglio Nazionale Forense), at Via del Governo Vecchio, 3, Rome – on the subject of “Class Actions – A Comparative Overview of the Law, Practices and Procedure”. There will be speakers from both England and Italy, followed by general discussion.

Tuesday, 6 July – A Presentation on “Little Italy” at Withers LLP, 16 Old Bailey, London EC4. The speaker will be Tudor Allen and the cost £15 per person.

Wednesday evening, 14 July, another of Fabio Vitiello’s Pizza Evenings at the Santoré Restaurant, Exmouth Market:- starters, pizza and dessert at the special price of £30 including wine.

Thursday, 21 October – Dinner/Debate at the Oxford & Cambridge Club – cost of £65 per person. The speaker will be Lord Justice Rix and he will choose the subject.

The Annual Dinner next year 2011 will again take place at Inner Temple and the date will be Friday, 21 January 2011. Please make a note in your calendars and diaries for this popular event.
